Synopsis :

Don’t miss the new laugh-out-loud rom com from the author of One Week ’Til Christmas!

Perfect for fans of Mhairi McFarlane, Rosie Walsh and Josie Silver.

” In the space of a week, Katharine Patterson has quit her job, decided to move back home, and broken up with the guy she thought was the one.

No big deal.

Because Katharine has a plan. She’s going to open her own art gallery, just like she’s always wanted. What she’s not going to do is worry about boyfriends.

Then she meets Kit, a handsome and talented local artist. He might be the most stubborn person Katharine has ever met. He might also make her feel like no one ever has before.

And Katharine might be about to fall accidentally in love…”

My thoughts on the book :

“Looking at him from behind the safety of my phone, I feel as if it’s him who’s seeing me for the first time.”

Some books come into your life the exact moment when you need it. I had been having a bad day, when I decided to pick Accidentally In Love up. It instantly lifted my mood, from the very first chapter. It has been a while since I read a rom-com that made me laugh my heart out like Accidentally in Love did. If I had to describe the book in three words, I’d choose – heart-warming, adorable and cheesy. These three things make up my favorite kind of books, and AIL is definitely taking a place in the list of my favorite rom-coms. I loved every minute of reading Kate and Kit’s story.

The storyline was plotted out perfectly by the author. I don’t think I’ve ever read a romance between two artists, and I was amazed by how much I enjoyed it! The characters were really well-written too. I loved reading about Kate. We rarely get to see badass female leads in romance novels, which is why I really appreciated how the author decided to give Kate’s character such a strong and confident attitude. Her positive approach towards life was really inspirational.

I needed a little more time to warm up to Kit though. His snotty behavior made it hard for me to connect with him in the beginning. His character development throughout the story was really admirable, and I ended up loving him by the end of the book.

The relationship between Kate and Kit had the perfect amount of angst and sweet-ness. Their chemistry, along with the banter in their conversations made reading Accidentally In Love so much fun! I love couples who grow up together through a relationship, and Kit and Kate made me feel the same way.

Romantic comedies are filled with clichés and repetitive moments most of the time, but Accidentally In Love was really different in that case. The book had a realistic touch to it, which made me love the story even more. I finished the book in one sitting and enjoyed reading it immensely. Highly recommend!
